An argument used against marriage equality is that it is unprecedented. Obviously this is not true, from ancient Rome to Native American traditions. I have not found the source for this quote, regardless, same-sex ceremonies have been occurring in America for hundreds of years.
At the DNC 2012 these are the combined clips of speakers praising Obama’s “equality platform.” We’ve come so far.
